Police Arrest Elderly Predator Of Children With The Heart To Abuse 3 Minors In Matraman

JAKARTA - An elderly (elderly) named Aswin (61) alias S alias OM alias Bambang was arrested by the East Jakarta Metro Police (Jaktim), Sunday, January 28. Aswin was caught molesting three underage children.

The perpetrator carried out his depraved act at his residence located on Pisangan Baru III Street, Pisangan Baru Village, Matraman District, East Jakarta on Saturday, January 27 evening.

"The video of the incident went viral and from the East Jakarta Metro Police immediately took action and secured the perpetrator. Now the perpetrator has been detained at the East Jakarta Metro Police. The perpetrator has the initials S alias OM alias B (61)," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly to VOI, Sunday, January 28.

Aswin was arrested after the victim reported the depraved act to the police. To the police, the perpetrator admitted that he was desperate to commit acts of sexual abuse because he often watched pornographic films.

"3 victims, aged 6 years, 11 years and 8 years. The police saw that it went viral and immediately took steps and advised the victim's parents to make a report. So the suspect is now being held at the East Jakarta Metro Police Detention Center," he said.

Until now, the police are still investigating the motive for sexual abuse by the elderly suspect with the initials S. For his actions, suspect S is threatened with Article 76e Jo 82 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning child protection.
