OIKN Calls Transferring ASN To IKN Opportunities For MSMEs And Local Communities

The Australian Capital Authority (OIKN) revealed that the transfer of state civil servants (ASN) from Jakarta to Nusantara, East Kalimantan became a business opportunity for MSMEs and local communities.

"In the context of the household industry, when there is a transfer of ASN from Jakarta to IKN, we hope that the local community and MSMEs in IKN will take a role in providing needs for ASN and the community who come to IKN," said Creative Economy Expert for Deputy Social, Cultural, and Community Empowerment OIKN I Gede Benny Subawa quoted from Antara, Sunday.

Benny added that the local community and MSMEs can take opportunities, for example by opening a laundry business, consumption business and so on.

This is because, when ASN and people who move to IKN, of course, they will look for basic food stores and various services.

"So this is an opportunity," he said.

Those in IKN themselves are still trying their best to explore the needs needed by ASN and people who have moved to IKN, for example, local communities in IKN are learning to embroider and sew clothes because ASNs who move to IKN need these services for their work uniforms, he said.

"We are upskilling what is there and exploring," said Benny.

In fact, he continued, OIKN held counseling about other benefits from bamboo which were attended by hundreds of participants from the community around IKN.

For information, the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) continues to move quickly to finalize several scenarios for the transfer of state civil servants (ASN) to the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

PANRB Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas wants to ensure that the performance of the government at IKN continues to be productive when it moves to IKN.

In making the ideal scenario related to the transfer of ASN, the PANRB Ministry also continues to map out the number of ASNs who will move to work at IKN.

The reason is, the dynamics related to the transfer of ASN continues to grow, adapting to the development capabilities at IKN and the number of housing that will be ready to be occupied later.
