Anies Baswedan Promises To Build International Standard Stadium In Aceh

BANDA ACEH - Presidential Candidate Anies Baswedan assesses that Aceh Province needs an international standard stadium. Anies promised to make it happen if he was entrusted with winning the presidential election.

"We realize that the people of Aceh need an international standard stadium, we plan to build an international standard (stadium, red) in Aceh," Anies said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 27.

During the oration in the open campaign because of H Dimurthala Stadium, Banda Aceh, Anies also called for the same thing.

Anies immediately looked at the stadium design that had been planned for Aceh. So far, he said, the area nicknamed the Veranda of Mecca already has a stadium, but it is not yet international.

"The (H Dimurthala) stadium is good, but not yet international standards. So we will present it," he said during the oration.

In addition to H Dimurthala Stadium, Aceh also has the Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Langsa Stadium and others.

On the other hand, Anies also assessed that Aceh is one of the areas with extraordinary natural wealth. This area also received a large injection of special autonomy funds (otsus), but it is still one of the provinces with the highest poverty rate in Sumatra.

Therefore, his party also wants that the management of the Special Autonomy Fund in the future be given posts that are in accordance with development needs that are actually randomized, so that the use of these funds is truly optimal.

In 2027, the injection of special autonomy funds for Aceh will end. Anies assessed that the special autonomy was one of the important options to complete the development in the Serambi area of Mecca.

"We will see in reality the Special Autonomy Fund has not been optimally utilized, so if it is needed we will make an extension. However, there will be a more regulated allocation, so that the impact can really be felt," he said.
