Crocodiles Muncul Di Sungai Tepus Kalasan Kalasan Dievakuated Tim Damkar

SLEMAN - The Fire Department (Damkar) of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, evacuated a crocodile that appeared in the TepusNgrangsang River, Selomartani Kapanewon Village (Kecamatan) Kalasan.

"Initially we received reports from the public who saw the appearance of a crocodile in the TepusSelomartani River, Kalasan," said Sleman Regency Fire Department Head Sutriyana as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 26.

The Sleman Regency Damkar sent officers to confirm the report, and then took the necessary steps.

"Incidentally, previously there were members who were handling the appearance of the Sowo Bajing snake at a resident's house in Sembur, Tirtomartani Sub-district, Klasan," he said.

Arriving at the location where the crocodile appeared in the Tepus River at around 11.30 WIB, it was true that there was a crocodile that was estimated to be about two meters long in the river.

"Furthermore, Sleman firefighters together with members of the Kalasan Police, Koramil Kalasan, volunteers, and local residents immediately tried to catch the crocodile," he said.

After about 35 minutes, finally the handling and evaluation of the crocodile can be completed.

"Handling was carried out by entangling the crocodile's body and then evacuating to the Sleman Damkar Mako, and continuing the report to the Natural Resources Conservation Agency"

Currently, the crocodile, which is estimated to be an estuarine crocodile, has been handed over to the Yogyakarta BKSDA.

"The crocodile has been received directly by the Head of the Yogyakarta BKSDA Sleman Resort," he said.
