Housewife Drug Courier Arrested, 1.3 Kg Of Shabu Stored In Korset

NUNUKAN - A housewife (IRT) with the initials SA in Nunukan, North Kalimantan (Kaltara), was arrested by the police while smuggling 1.3 kilograms (kg) of crystal methamphetamine into South Sulawesi.

Nunukan Police Chief AKBP Taufik Nurmandia through the Head of Public Relations of the Nunukan Police, AKP Siswanti, revealed that this woman from Palu, Central Sulawesi, was arrested on Jalan Tien Suharto, East Nunukan Village, Nunukan District on Saturday (20/1).

"This mother admitted that she had been a courier twice, she was a resident of Boya Papitu Street, Palu City," he said, Thursday, January 25.

This case was revealed after the Nunukan Police Satreskoba Opsnal personnel received information about the smuggling of these illicit goods.

The police disguised themselves as well as an investigation until they managed to secure SA at a hotel on Jalan Tien Soeharto.

"Initially examining the perpetrator's luggage, the police did not find any evidence. Because it was suspicious, the Nunukan Policewomen then searched the SA agency," he said.

As a result, the police found methamphetamine stored in a corset.

"The perpetrators kept two large packs in a stomach corset and 1 large pack containing 7 seven small plastic packs stored in a pants corset," he explained.

The perpetrator admitted that he left together with his friend, who is also an IRT with the initials IR, a resident of Pinrang, South Sulawesi. The two then met and then left with Pare-pare, South Sulawesi to Nunukan by using a ship with the aim of picking up methamphetamine in Nunukan.

"SA admitted that this is the second time he has been to Nunukan to pick up Sabu. In fact, his first action was carried out in December 2023. To launch his action, SA admitted that he received Rp10 million in wages," he explained.
