Pangdam Cenderawasih: KKB Intan Jaya Pegang 13 Pucuk Senpi From Revolver To Assault Rifle

JAYAPURA - Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih Major General Izak Pangemanan said, from the report received by KKB Intan Jaya currently has 13 firearms (senpi) of various types.

"It is true from the report received by the Intan Jaya KKB led by Indius Kogoya that has 13 types of rifles which are looted from the TNI-Polri," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 25.

The types of firearms owned are Sniper AX, SS-1 V1, M4 and FN pistols with one point each, M16, Steyr and Double Loop guns with two shots each. Then three types of revolvers.

KKB took more action with the commotion. After shooting, they immediately fled to the surrounding forest.

"KKB in carrying out shootings is always with a shooting pattern, so it is predicted that it will not waste a lot of bullets," explained Major General Izak.

The TNI-Polri are currently trying to restore the security situation in the Sugapa area so that people can return to their normal activities.

"Hopefully one or two days the security situation in Sugapa will recover so that flights to the area return to normal," hoped Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih Major General Izak Pangemanan.

KKB has been reported since Friday (19/1) carrying out attacks by shooting at TNI-Polri posts in Sugapa.

A member of Brimob died.

Seven KKB members were shot, four of whom died. Currently, the security situation is relatively conducive but members of the TNI-Polri continue to be on standby.
