A Total Of 5 KKB Members Were Shot Dead By The TNI-Polri Task Force In Intan Jaya

MIMIKA - A joint force consisting of the TNI and Polri shot dead 5 members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua.

Head of Damai Cartenz-2024 Operations, Kombes Faizal Ramadha, said the identities of the KKB members who died in the shootout were Oni Kobagau, Belau Network, Agustia, Ones and Melkias Maisan.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the Damai Cartenz-2024 Ops, AKBP Bayu Suseno, reported the shooting of the Gakkum ODC-2024 Task Force.

"It is suspected that the gunfire came from the Catholic church of Santo Misael, Bilogai," said Bayu Suseno, Tuesday, January 23.

Security forces from the TNI Yonif 330/TD Permeter Post responded by carrying out a counter-attack against the KKB action.

"The drone monitoring results show that one KKB member, named Melkias Maisani, was killed in the attack, both the bodies and firearms used had been taken away by other KKB colleagues," said Bayu.
