JAKARTA - Main researcher of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi reminded the National Police that 33 percent of the public were dissatisfied with the police's performance in investigating the alleged extortion case involving former KPK chairman Firli Bahuri.

"So far, those who say they are satisfied or dissatisfied with the police's performance in investigating Firli's case, who are satisfied with about 60 percent, are not satisfied with a significant amount of around 33 percent. Responding to the survey results, Professor of the Faculty of Law, Jenderal Sudirman University, Prof. Hibnu Nugroho reminded the public regarding the declining public trust in the Police.

According to him, the performance of the National Police in handling monumental cases such as the Firli Bahuri case will be of concern and public record to increase trust in these law enforcement institutions.

Hibnu hopes that the National Police will immediately resolve the Firli Bahuri case so that law enforcement performance will be better in the eyes of the public.
