Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan, opened his voice about the unilateral revocation of Anies's Desak event permit. Anies's Desak event permit which was revoked today is in Yogyakarta.

Initially, the team had received permission to hold Anies Desak at the Diponegoro Sasana Wiratama Museum, Tegalrejo, Yogyakarta. However, one day before the implementation, the event permit was suddenly canceled.

"This is a problem. When will we advance democracy, if the procedures that have been followed are canceled by interests that we don't know what their interests are?" said Anies at Adi Sutjipto Airport, Tuesday, January 23.

Anies admitted that he was surprised by the cancellation of the permit. In fact, his team has a permit for activities because they have followed the applicable procedures.

"For those with operational levels, they don't see a problem. All requirements are met, so they are given permission. After that, there is a strategic level, then give instructions (revocation of permits)," said Anies.

Anies also quoted President Joko Widodo's statement requiring all officers, including ASN, TNI, Polri, and other state institutions, to be neutral in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

"I want to remind everyone that the president's order is followed," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
