Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Elva Farhi Qolbina apologized for the collapse of one of his candidates in East Jakarta that hit the victim.

Elva claimed that his party had met the victim of the motorcyclist who was hit by the billboard of the party's legislative candidate bearing the rose symbol.

"We have met with the families of the victims and will solve this problem. We from PSI apologize for the inconvenience caused," Elva told reporters, Tuesday, January 23.

Elva views that the weather during the rainy season affects the sharpness of campaign props (APK) for election participants, especially in legislative and party candidates.

"Currently it often rains and the wind is quite strong. So if there are campaign props that are not perfectly installed, they must be repaired immediately so that incidents like this do not happen again," he said.

However, Elva emphasized that he had instructed all party candidates and administrators to check the PSI campaign props installed in Jakarta.

"PSI also asks DKI residents to contact PSI Jakarta if there is a Campaign Performance Tool that is deemed disturbing public order and endangering drivers," explained Elva.

PSI's billboard campaign attribute collapsed on Jalan KRY Radjiman Widyoningrat, Cakung, East Jakarta, Monday, January 22. The billboard collapsed because it was blown by the wind.

"There was wind and billboards collapsed in the future, hit by a motorcyclist. The two of them rode together, all of them," said Nirwan (32), a local resident, to reporters, Monday, January 22.

The billboard depicts PSI DPP Deputy Secretary General Ilma Sovri Yanti who is also a candidate for the DPR RI for the DKI Jakarta 1 electoral district (East Jakarta). The billboard was installed on the sidewalk separating the road and collapsed onto the road from Cakung to Kalimalang.

When hit by billboards, the motorcyclist and the person he was riding fell. All the food they brought scattered, even littering billboards.

"When he was hit by a billboard, his motorbike was thrown into the middle of the road about one meter. The one carrying the motorbike was thrown forward about three meters," he said.

As a result of the incident, the person who was riding was dragged by the motorbike and suffered abrasions on his left leg. The head was also hit by a motorbike. Luckily, none of the motorcyclists and other cars hit the victim.
