Already Receded, Acting Mayor Kendari Still Doesn't Know The Number Of Houses Affected By Kolaka Floods

SULTRA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) continues to monitor the condition of people affected by flooding in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Head of BPBD Sultra Muhammad Yusuf said that until now his party has continued to monitor flood victims in order to ensure that everything is resolved or get sufficient logistics and adequate shelters.

"Alhamdulillah, the latest report so far has begun to recede and has entered the recovery stage," he said in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Monday, January 22, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the Southeast Sulawesi BPBD had distributed aid to flood victims who had been received directly by the Kolaka Regional Government (Pemda), as well as the Social Service and Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana) in response to the flood incident.

Yusup, who is also the Acting Mayor of Kendari, added that until now his party is grateful because there have been no casualties due to the flood that occurred except for material losses.

"Until now there have been no casualties, only material casualties totaling dozens of houses have been affected," he said.

Yusup added, for the exact number of houses affected by the flood, he could not say, because every day the data that came in was still increasing and kept changing at all times.
