Polda Kaltara Prepares 3,863 Personnel To Secure TPS, Logistics Warehouse Is Strictly Guarded

TANJUNG SELOR - North Kalimantan Police (Kaltara) has prepared thousands of personnel to secure polling stations (TPS).

Kaltara Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya revealed, as many as 3,863 Kaltara Regional Police personnel together with police and police officers were dispatched to carry out security at 2,295 polling stations.

"A total of 3,863 police personnel will secure all polling stations spread across Kaltara, based on data there are 504,251 voters spread across regencies and cities. We have prepared them for security," said the Kaltara Police Chief, Monday, January 22.

Daniel explained that the TPS security pattern is divided into three classifications, namely TPS is less vulnerable, vulnerable and very vulnerable.

"Security at the voting and vote counting stages carried out by the Kaltara Police and Polresta and Polres is part of the form of Polri's commitment to ensure that the 2024 General Election runs safely and smoothly," said Daniel.

Security for the 2024 General Election, Daniel continued, also involved Linmas prepared by the local Regional Government (Pemda).

"What is most expected is the broad active role of the community to participate in maintaining a safe and conducive security and social security situation during the 2024 election stage," said the Kapolda.

To prevent security disturbances, the police have carried out security in each election logistics storage warehouse owned by the General Elections Commission (KPU).

"Like in the KPU logistics warehouse in Tanjung Selor, several personnel carried out security for 3\times24 hours or 3 shifts in 1 day," explained the Kapolda.

The Head of Public Relations of the North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Budi Rachmat, said that his party ensured that the election process in Kaltara would take place safely.

"In addition to ensuring security in the KPU logistics warehouse, Kaltara Police personnel also carry out routine patrols," he said.

This security effort is in line with the commitment of the Kaltara Police to support the smooth running of the election.

"With the cooperation between the police and the KPU in maintaining the security of logistics warehouses, it is hoped that the election process can take place in an orderly, safe and fair manner.
