Helping Entrepreneurs, Prabowo-Gibran Will Make Start-Up Cards For Millennials Gen Z

JAKARTA - The presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka promised to make Start-Up Cards to help millennials and Gen Z entrepreneurs.Commander of the Communication Team (Bravo) Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Budisatrio Djiwandono, said the Gen Z Millennial Start-Up card would complement the social welfare cards that had been issued by President Joko Widodo era.

"Later, KIS for the elderly will be added to parents, Healthy Children's Cards for stunting prevention, start-up cards for millennials and gen Z. These are all included in the 8 Fast Best Results Program which will be directly guarded by Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," Budi said in his statement to reporters, Friday, January 19.

Budi also ensured that Prabowo-Gibran would continue social welfare cards in the era of President Jokowi. According to him, these magic cards include the best legacy of President Jokowi's government.

"Healthy Indonesian Cards, Smart Indonesian Cards, Pre-Employment Cards, including the Family Hope Program, and other magic cards are a good legacy from Pak Jokowi. All good things will definitely be continued by Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," said Budisatrio.

The DPR member from Gerindra explained that Prabowo-Gibran targets the poverty rate to be below 5 percent and the Human Development Index with a score above 80. The target is contained in the candidate for the candidate pair 02 vision and mission document.

The target, said Budi, will also be pursued with social welfare cards, various subsidies, direct cash and non-cash assistance, as well as business credit programs.

"Business credit programs for agriculture, livestock, plantations, fisheries, and other people's business sectors. God willing, if Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran get the mandate, we will improve and perfect the foundation that Pak Jokowi has built very well," said Budi.

For information, in the era of President Jokowi's administration there were a number of welfare cards addressed to the public. The Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) provides support to 17.9 million students, 2.2 million religious school students, 908 thousand students, and 67.8 thousand religious students.

Meanwhile, in the social protection sector, there is a Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) which has reached 96.8 million BPJS service beneficiaries for free, Basic Food Cards or Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for 18.7 million beneficiary families, Pre-Employment Cards for 529 thousand participants, and the Family Hope Program (PKH) for 10 million beneficiary families.
