Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said the government was evaluating the policy for the 2024 election campaign leave permit for ministers related to the performance of the ranks of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (KIM).
In a press conference at Universitas Brawijaya Malang, East Java, Vice President Ma'ruf said President Joko Widodo had issued Government Regulation (PP) Number 53 of 2023 which regulates the leave of ministers and regional heads during the 2024 election campaign.
"If the rules are allowed, with one note, the performance will not decrease. What will the results be? Maybe it is being evaluated," said Ma'ruf Amin as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 19.
He said the evaluation was important to ensure ministers could work well amid the current pressure of the political year.
"Is there an influence because many ministers become presidential and vice presidential candidates, become a success team, and so on? I have not received a more influential report," he explained.
Regarding the issue of the resignation of a number of ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, as stated by economist Faisal Basri, Ma'ruf emphasized that the issue was not true.

"As far as I know, there are no issues inside, yes; what I feel is that there is no issue of a ministerial resignation, yes. Indeed, I read on social media (social media), I also heard on television (there is an issue of the minister resigning); but inside (the internal cabinet) there is nothing," he explained.
Ma'ruf Amin said all ministers were still working well. He can feel good performance in a number of work meetings.
"It's like there's no problem; all I know is that everything is working well," he said.
Although based on the evaluation results, it was stated that there was a decline in performance, Ma'ruf Amin said the Government would take the option to revise the rules for ministerial leave in the political year.
"What will it look like, if it does decrease, the rules will be evaluated," said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
