PAMEKASAN - A joint team from the Pamekasan Regency Government, East Java consisting of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Fire Team assisted by the TNI and Polri finally managed to stop the burst of fire at the drilling well location in Kadur Village, Pamekasan.

"Thanks to the joint efforts of the fire bursts that have occurred since January 11, 2024, they have now been successfully stopped," said Acting (Plt) Head of BPBD Pamekasan Regency, Akhmad Dhofir Rosidi in Pamekasan, East Java, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 19.

The drill well belonging to residents in Kadur Village, Kadur District, Pamekasan emitted a fire when the land owner tried to ignite the gas that smelled of gas from the bore well pipe.

As a result of the incident, the owner of the land named Junaidi suffered burns and had to be rushed to the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Slamet Martodirdjo Pamekasan.

"But now the person concerned has improved and has returned home after undergoing treatment," he said.

Previously, the drill well belonging to a resident of Kadur Village, Kadur District, Pamekasan spewed water with a height of up to 15 meters.

The incident began on the evening of December 27, 2023, at around 21.30 WIB, when a resident named Junaidi drilled his plantation.

When the drill depth reached 141 meters, suddenly a rumbling sound was heard from the earth's stomach, and not long after, water burst out of the drilling pipe with the height of the burst reaching 15 meters.
