After Checking, Polda Metro Submits Case Files For Firli Bahuri Next Week

JAKARTA - A series of investigations to complete the case file for the alleged extortion case against the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, with the suspect Firli Bahuri having been completed. Thus, Polda Metro Jaya plans to transfer the case file back to the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) next week.

"Next week, investigators will return the case files that have been completed by investigators to the prosecutor at the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Friday, January 19.

In an effort to fulfill the shortcomings of the case file, investigators again examined a number of witnesses. In fact, confronting their statements.

Several witnesses who were confronted included Syahrul Yasin Limpo; Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta; and Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono.

Most recently, investigators also re-examined Firli Bahuri as a suspect. The process of taking information lasted approximately three hours with 13 questions.

"At 09.00 WIB, the joint investigation of the suspect FB began by the joint investigation team. At 12.00 WIB, the examination or request for additional information from the suspect was completed," said Ade.

For information, investigators submitted Firli Bahuri's case file on December 15. However, the results of the examination by the research prosecutor stated that there were still shortcomings.

Firli is known to have been questioned six times. Two of them were when Firli Bahuri was still a witness, precisely on October 26 and November 16.

For the remaining examination, when the former chairman of the KPK was a suspect. Firli Bahuri was asked for the exact information on December 1, December 6, December 27, January 19.
