Kaesang: I'm Much More Happy In Politics

BANDAR LAMPUNG - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party who is also the son of President Joko Widodo, Kaesang Pangarep, revealed that he is happier (happy) to have a career in politics than while in the business world.

"I have to talk as long as I have a career in business, I am much more happy in politics, I don't know why," said Kaesang when meeting influencers, MSMEs, the regional campaign team in Lampung, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, January 19.

This statement was conveyed by Kaesang to answer questions from one of the meeting participants about the impression during his time as PSI General Chair.

However, Kaesang admitted that he did not know why he preferred politics. He then told his impression at the beginning of his time as General Chair of PSI.

According to Kaesang, who is also an MSME entrepreneur, the early days as chairman of PSI were a tough time.

He compared the one-week job to become the general chairman of the political party to a 2.5-year job in business.

"(Year) 2021 there is a project (project) and only 2.5 years can be completed, exactly one month before becoming chairman of PSI and as chairman of PSI, it's the same as my project for 2.5 years. In politics, it feels really hard a week," he said.

Kaesang said that as the leader of a political party, he must lead the legislative candidates to party officials.

"Even though in my company I have a lot of money, but in politics, I fill the money," he said.

Bandar Lampung became the first city of Kaesang's political safari to Sumatra Island. In the city, Kaesang met with the Governor of Lampung Arinal Djunaedi.

Then, Kaesang is also scheduled to meet with Jokowi volunteers and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

After that, Kaesang attended PSI's land coffee (kopdarwil), before leaving for Padang, West Sumatra.

Then, on Saturday (20/1), President Jokowi's youngest son is scheduled to make a visit to Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
