Novel Baswedan Asks The Community To Support The COVID-19 Vaccine Program

JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) senior investigator Novel Baswedan urged the public to support the COVID-19 vaccine program launched by the government.

This was conveyed by Novel after receiving the COVID-19 vaccination with a number of other employees at the KPK building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"I think the government's efforts to solve this pandemic problem should be supported by us. And regarding this vaccine, I think let's all support the government's program to solve the COVID-19 problem by being vaccinated", Novel told reporters, Tuesday, February 23.

According to him, vaccination is an important program to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Novel also assessed that with the public following the government's priority program, the pandemic is expected to end soon and everyone can do their usual activities.

"Of course we like it, we will be happy when our activities return to normal", he said.

He shared his experience when he was vaccinated against COVID-19. Novel said that the injection of the first dose of vaccine was almost imperceptible. This investigator was also observed by health workers for 30 minutes to determine side effects.

"What is clear, we all hope we can be healthy, this pandemic can end soon. And the government's efforts to be able to solve the COVID-19 problem can be optimally successful", he said.

Previously, the KPK carried out vaccinations from February 18 to February 23. The vaccination program starts from the supervisory board, leaders to KPK employees.

"Vaccination in the KPK environment starts from February 18, 2021, to February 23, 2021, at the KPK Juang Building from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time", explained the KPK spokesperson for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement.
