Pusdikppol Survey: Democrats Dominate Pacitan, Regent Of Indrata Bayuaji Unggul

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Center for Public and Political Policy Studies (Pusdikppol) has issued survey results in several cities in East Java, including Pacitan Regency.

Pusdikppol Research Manager, Junaidi Doni Luli, said that this survey was part of a public and local political policy study in areas with specialities, one of which was Pacitan, which directly borders Central Java.

In the survey results, Pusdikppol recorded a high public satisfaction with the performance of the Pacitan Regent, Indrata Nur Bayuaji. In addition, his popularity and electability are also strong in society.

Doni explained that the survey was conducted using a multiple random sampling method, involving 500 respondents on 1-7 January 2024, with a margin of error of 4.5% and a 95% confidence level.

"The majority of the people of Pacitan are satisfied with the performance of the Regent of Indrata Nur Bayuaji, reaching 83.8%. This reflects the high level of public trust in the leadership of the Regent," said Doni in a written statement received by VOI Thursday, January 18.

The Regent's performance satisfaction includes various aspects, such as infrastructure, flood management, economy, employment, trade, and government in the tourism sector. Performance in the field of public administration services also received high figures, reaching 92%.

Doni added that the popularity of Indrata Nur Bayuaji as the Regent's Candidate Top of Mind reached 44.8%, and his electability reached 41.6%, showing a great opportunity to maintain his position in the regent's election later.

The survey also identified the support of political parties in Pacitan, where the Democratic Party dominated with 58%, followed by Gerindra, Golkar, PKB, PDI-P, NasDem, and other parties.

The figure of Indrata Nur Bayuaji's leadership as chairman of the Democratic DPC also affected the party's high electability. The electability of this party, coupled with the support of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), strengthens the Democratic position in Pacitan.

In the context of the electability of presidential candidates, the survey shows that the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka pairs dominate with a percentage of 54.2%, reflecting political trends that may have an impact on the 2024 presidential election.

The results of the Pacitan Pusdikppol survey provide a comprehensive picture of public sentiment in the area, becoming an important source of information for policy makers, political analysts, and the general public to understand the political dynamics ahead of the presidential and regent elections.
