North Sumatra Coal Bawaslu Still Searching Sound Recording Invites Support For One Of The Presidential Candidates, Diroscek Vote Samples

The Coal Regency Election Supervisory Agency is still investigating the alleged recording of votes inviting to elect one of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs allegedly carried out by the Batubara Regency official, North Sumatra.

Chairman of the Batubara Regency Bawaslu Amin Lubis said that during the search his party would continue to coordinate with the North Sumatra Bawaslu and related policy makers to investigate more deeply related cases.

"We are still investigating the person and whose voice and where the voice was recorded. Of course we are still conducting searches. We are coordinating with the North Sumatra Bawaslu and related agencies," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 17.

Amin said that since receiving the voice recording on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 20.47 WIB, his party immediately held a plenary meeting.

"The discussion with Bawaslu Batubara friends. We conducted a search related to the viral video in Batu Bara Regency which took a number of officials on the cover of the recording. The results of the meeting decided to conduct a search related to the recording," he said.

His party has also conducted a search by asking for clarification from officials of Batubara Regency who are suspected of being in the voice recording.

"We also ask for permission to take samples of their respective voice recordings. Then we in the results of the information also ask for their willingness to take their voice recordings and sign them on stamp duty," he said.

Then, Bawaslu Batubara juxtaposed a viral video recording with the recording requested from each of the officials.

"We analyze in general that we do not find similarities or are not identical. But it is in plain view, now for the use of experts or not, that will be the police, which is clear that Bawaslu Batubara has taken samples," he said.

The Coordinator of the Public Relations and Information Division of the North Sumatra Bawaslu, Saut Boangmanalu, said that this case was not yet considered complete. This is because the search and investigation process is still ongoing.

"The process continues, this case is not dismissed. What is stopped is related to the officials in the forkopimda, which are still seen in general. Because if we look at the contents of the vote, we have to see the substance," said Saut.

He said that currently his party together with related policy makers were also involved in the search process with Bawaslu.

"So we, together with the TNI/Polri, are still pursuing the perpetrators. The authorities are still cooperative regarding this Coal issue, including examination and sampling at the beginning," he said.
