Prabowo Suggests Defense Officials Who Control Big Budgets To Be Given 3 Star Respect

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto questioned a number of aspects to eradicate and prevent corruption in Indonesia. One of them is providing a reward for promotions for officials dealing with large budgets. This proposal was conveyed by Prabowo when he was present at the KPK Integrity Paku event which was attended by three candidate pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 17 evening. "I see everyday in my responsibilities within the Ministry of Defense, there are officials who control trillions in (large) contracts with the same rank as officials who work regularly. I propose, it has been 2-3 years for their positions to be raised, maybe not in terms of salary, but in terms of respect. I want to propose officials at the Ministry of Defense who control the budget to be given a three-star, "said Prabowo. It's just that Prabowo's proposal cannot be realized, either because of bureaucratic problems and so on. Apart from rewards, one of the efforts that Prabowo highlighted was political will. The political will to eradicate corruption must be shown by the highest leadership.
