Secretary General Of PBNU Calls Not To Choose Candidates Supported By Abu Bakar Ba'asyir, TKN: Very Fit To Put Choices On Prabowo-Gibran

JAKARTA - Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figure who is also Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Ali Masykur Musa responded to the statement by the Secretary General of PBNU Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul, who called for Nahdliyin residents not to participate in supporting presidential candidates supported by people opposite NU, such as Abu Bakar Ba'asyir. Ba'asyir supports candidate pair number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.

Ali Masykur Musa, who is also the General Chair of PP ISNU, explained that every citizen has the right to make their own choices. However, the majority of NU in Indonesia must choose a figure in line with Pancasila, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, NKRI, UUD 1945.

According to him, the presidential and vice presidential candidates who fit the four pillars are candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. That is the reason why Ali joined the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN).

"Of course we have to see who his track records are, in the context of this national state. We still remember a few years ago that terrorism was everywhere, so we are the majority, especially me, from the Nahdlatul Ulama extended family, very happy, very fitting if we leave their choices to Pak Prabowo, Mas Gibran," said Ali Masykur in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, January 17.

Menurut Ali, apabila ada pihak yang berbanding dengan empat pilar itu bergabung di paslon tertentu, maka calon tersebut tidak paksa untuk dipilih. Dalam hal ini Ba'asyir telah menjatuhkan dukungannya ke pasangan AMIN.a

"If there are others who have backgrounds, who still question the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, how come it is not in line with the national commitment that the Pancasila state is muahadah wathaniah. An agreement between the Indonesian people is a Pancasila country. So other groups who still want to discuss Pancasila are not suitable to be elected in Indonesia," said Ali.

Previously, PBNU Secretary General Saifullah Yusuf or Gus Ipul called for NU residents not to participate in supporting candidates supported by people against NU such as Abu Bakar Ba'asyir. He hopes that NU residents will choose candidates in accordance with the NU rules on February 14.

According to Gus Ipul, the elected presidential candidate must also truly reflect the way of thinking and bermazhab ahilussunah wal jama'ah.

"Make sure that the candidate pair we chose is in accordance with the way NU thought and thought. Choose and select all available information, so that we don't get lost because of hoax news," said Gus Ipul in Pasuruan, East Java, Tuesday, January 16.

Gus Ipul hopes that NU residents can know for sure which candidates are in line with Indonesia's interests and the interests of NU.

"Let us not support couples who are supported by people who are at odds with the way NU people think. Like the candidate who is supported by Abu Bakar Ba'asyir, for example, especially since there is Amien Rais as well," he said.
