At Batang Terminal, Ganjar Chats With Truck Drivers: 8 Hours Gaspol Continues, Take Care Of Your Health Too

Presidential candidate (candidate) number 3, Ganjar Pranowo reminded truck drivers to always maintain stamina and not force truck driving without resting.

He said Ganjar's appeal while chatting and having coffee with truck drivers at the Limpung Terminal, Batang Regency, Central Java (Central Java), Wednesday, January 17,

"They think about eight hours of gaspol. I remind you to think about health too, so you have to rest every four hours," he said, quoted by Antara.

During the meeting, Ganjar and the drivers discussed extortion to ODOL trucks (over-dimension overload) or vehicles carrying loads exceeding the load limit.

To Ganjar, the truck drivers expressed their gratitude for the extortion at the Timbang Subah Bridge, Batang Regency, which was successfully eradicated.

"This used to be an extraordinary incident, extortion on the weight bridge which had gone viral, we finally handled it and the truck driver said that now extortion no longer exists. So they are grateful," said Ganjar.

However, truck drivers are still complaining about the practice of extortion at several points that have been passed, outside the Timbang Subah Bridge.

They said that per day they had to prepare around Rp300,000 because there were about six extortion points.

"Earlier there were those who said that they hoped that extortion could be eliminated throughout Indonesia, because they had to prepare around Rp. 300,000 elsewhere. So, I convey to all stakeholders, listen to their voices," said Ganjar.

The white-haired man also discussed driver compliance with the contents of the capacity, aka not over-dimensional overloading (ODOL).

This is important for the safety of drivers and the community, as well as to maintain the carrying capacity of the road.

"I also say that ODOL should not carry it so that they also survive on the road and the road will not be damaged quickly. Capacity must be appropriate, no more. Because we road users also have to think about carrying capacity.
