Videotron Advertising Stopped, Anies: Mysterious Perpetrator, Report To Bawaslu Aja

JAKARTA - Presidential candidate number 1, Anies Baswedan suggested that the case of unilateral termination of the LED videotron made by fans be reported to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

The videotron point that promoted Anies was installed in front of Grand Metropolitan, Bekasi and in front of Graha Mandiri, Central Jakarta. According to Anies, the decline in advertising has become evidence of alleged election violations.

"If that's the rule, just report it to Bawaslu. The rules shouldn't interfere with each other, right? As long as there is a violation of his name," said Anies in Makassar, Wednesday, January 17.

According to Anies, this unilateral action to stop advertising with perpetrators who are still mysterious injures the principles of democracy in Indonesia because they do not respect the freedom of expression of others.

"When someone puts up a videotron for pair number 1, they are respected. That's part of democracy, it's a test of democratic commitment, one of which is the readiness to respect different things. If he's not ready to respect the different ones, then he's not ready to do democracy," he explained.

Previously, a video circulated showing a videotron in front of the Bekasi Metropolitan Grand Hotel and in front of Graha Mandiri, Jakarta. The modern billboard ad was initiated specifically by Anies volunteers, Anies Bubble (@aniesbubble) in collaboration with the Olppaemi Project (@olpproject).

The video, which was advertised from the donation, shows Anies Baswedan's video edited by South Korea's oppa-oppa. However, not until a day later, the ad suddenly stopped.

Olppaemi projects through his X account did not explain the reason why the ad was taken down. He said the condition was out of control. Olppaemi project said the ad should be broadcast for one week starting from January 15-21 January 2024.

In response to this, the Expert Board of the AMIN National Team, Fadhrus Zaman Fadhly, assessed that Anies Bubble's videotron ads that were taken down in Bekasi and Jakarta were proof of Jokowi's declining democracy index in Indonesia.

"The videotron that has been taken down I see this will perfect that the government that has been going on so far is anti-democracy, and will make our democracy index lower to fall to a nadir point," said Fahrus, Tuesday, January 16.

AMIN National Team Spokesman Indra Charismiadji explained that the incident was suspected of being full of political interests. "Relations with politics, if not, why suddenly take down, what is the reason, people pay, unless they don't pay, take down," continued Indra.
