Ganjar Promises To Improve The Welfare Of PAUD Teachers

Presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo promised to improve the welfare of early childhood education teachers (PAUD).

"The payment turns out to be one year Rp600 thousand, I repeat, one year Rp600 thousand. This is something I think is very, very unfair," said Ganjar Pranowo after meeting the ranks of the Batang Regency PAUD teachers in Reban District, Batang Regency, Central Java, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 16.

Ganjar Pranowo is committed to increasing PAUD teachers' income if elected President for the 2024 '2029 period.

On this occasion, Ganjar received the aspirations of one of the representatives of the PAUD teacher association.

The PAUD teacher complained about three things to Ganjar, namely the status of a non-formal PAUD teacher, the allocation of village funds for the welfare of PAUD teachers, and the payment of PAUD teachers of Rp600 thousand per year.

According to Ganjar, the payment of PAUD teachers of Rp600 thousand/year at the end of the year is very unfair.

Ganjar explained two strategies if he was elected President with Mahfud Md., namely first synchronization and harmonization of regulations.

"Secondly, the resources that we have are 20 percent of the state budget, provincial budget, and district/city that are ordered for education must pay attention to PAUD teachers, including PAUD education, including existing facilities," said Ganjar.

Ganjar will optimize the allocation of 20 percent of the APBN and APBD for the welfare of PAUD teachers, including improving PAUD education and facilities.

"How do we provide sufficient incentives to them and this is what will be PR. Earlier I asked my PAUD teachers to give me input, how many are there, and what are the conditions so that later we can clean them up," said the former Governor of Central Java,
