Head of the Election Winning Body (Bapilu) Golkar Nusron Wahid, admitted that he did not know a number of cadres who expressed support for candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

"Who is the person, I want to know, is there a brand or not that person? I haven't seen the problem yet. I don't see the problem if the young Golkar cadre knows, where is the person's resonance. How can you see," said Nusron at the TKN Prabowo-Gibran Media Center on Sriwijaya I Street, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 16.

Even after seeing the video clip circulating on social media, the DPR member from Golkar still did not recognize the faces of a number of cadres who defected. According to him, it is possible that the cadres who expressed support for Ganjar-Mahfud were'so-so-so-so' cadres.

"That may be someone on the side of the road, given a yellow shirt. If it's not a legislative candidate, how do you measure it?" he said.

Nevertheless, Nusron invited a handful of parties who claimed to be Golkar cadres to support candidate pair 03. Because, said Nusron, this support would not affect the electability of candidate pair number 2.

"Go ahead, but it doesn't affect, the name is unknown, and doesn't have a brand. It's like there's no brand for goods. Without shrinking their meaning, go ahead, but you should use political ethics," said Nusron.

Previously, a number of members of the Golkar party and mass organizations and legislative candidates who were members of the Young Kaucus Beringin 03 defected to support candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD in the 2024 presidential election.

Deklarator Kaucus Muda Golkar 03, Rafiq Perkasyah Alamsyah said the support was also a form of protest against Golkar's internal conditions which were claimed to be less convincing.

Rofiq said, as a big political party with a long experience in power, Golkar has a tradition of well-established and respected regeneration. However, according to him, all of this turned into wounds in the hearts of the cadres when the appointment of Gibran Rakabuming Raka became vice presidential candidate.

"Gibran Rakabuming Raka ujug-ujug was promoted to become the vice president of the Golkar party, without going through a tiered regeneration process, just because the general chairman of the Golkar Party was held hostage," said Rofiq at the Peninsula Hotel, Slipi, West Jakarta, Wednesday, October 10.

Rofiq assessed that this step was accompanied by efforts to coercise the party structure and its legislative candidates to the regions to win the Prabowo-Gibran pair.

"Two fundamental things that threaten the Golkar Party's ability to win the Legislative Election," he said.

Therefore, he emphasized, this condition moved the Young Beringin Caucus, a number of Golkar functionaries and candidates to take steps to save the party.

"Wastah yang dibentuk karena kemampuan ketegangan melihat kondisi internal partai, juga karena kesamaan idema dalam memandang tokoh Ganjar Pranowo dan Mahfud MD sebagai pasangan ideal untuk diwini dalam Pilpres 2024," katanya.

"The political economic idea, socio-cultural views, and development programs offered by the Ganjar-Mahfud pair are very compatible with the vision and mission of the Golkar Party," he continued.
