BNI Cibinong Boss Called By The KPK In Connection With Edhy Prabowo's Shirt

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned six witnesses in the bribery case of fries or lobster seeds that ensnared Edhy Prabowo, the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

One of the witnesses summoned was the Head of BNI Cibinong Branch Alex Wijaya. He was examined to complete the case file belonging to Edhy Prabowo who was the recipient of the bribe in this case.

"Alex Wijaya, the Head of BNI Cibinong Branch was examined as a witness for the EP suspect (Edhy Prabowo)," said Acting KPK spokesman for Prosecution Ali Fikri in his written statement, Tuesday, February 23.

Apart from Alex, KPK investigators will also examine a number of other witnesses, namely two notaries named Alvin Nugraha and Lies Herminingsih. Then other witnesses who were also summoned for questioning were a civil servant named Gellwynn DH Yusuf, a private employee on behalf of Badriyah Lestari, and a student named Lutpi Ginanjar.

The material for the examination of the six witnesses is not yet known. However, they are certain to know about the bribery case that was revealed through hand arrest (OTT) at the end of 2020.

As previously reported, in the case of the export bribery of lobster fry or lobster seeds, Edhy Prabowo was named a suspect in receiving bribes along with five other people, namely: Stafsus Minister of KKP Safri (SAF) and Andreau Pribadi Misanta (APM); Management of PT Aero Citra Kargo (PT ACK) Siswadi (SWD); The staff of the wife of the Minister of KKP, Ainul Faqih, and Amiril Mukminin (AM).

The giver of the bribe was the Director of PT Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (PT DPPP) Suharjito (SJT).

In this case, Edhy and five other people were charged with Article 12 paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 11 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption (Tipikor) ) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the KUHP in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, as a bribe giver, Suharjito was charged with Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or b or Article 13 of the Corruption Act in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
