JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) submitted its performance report throughout 2023 today, Tuesday, January 16. The interim chairman of the KPK, Nawawi Pomolango, revealed that there were thousands of reports of alleged corruption from the public.
One of the case handling at the KPK stems from public complaints. There were 5,079 reports during 2023,” Nawawi said at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 16.
Nawawi detailed that of that number 600 reports could not be followed up. While the rest, namely 4,389 reports are included in the verification stage.
Furthermore, the anti-corruption commission detailed the areas where there were most complaints. Nawawi said DKI Jakarta was ranked number one.

Meanwhile, the next areas are West Java with 483 reports, East Java with 430 reports, and North Sumatra with 354 reports.
