Ogan Ilir South Sumatra Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Pertalite Subsidized Fuel Smuggling

Police officers from the Ogan Ilir Resort, South Sumatra, arrested a Pertalite subsidized fuel supplier (BBM) in the region. "We managed to secure the Pertalite type BBM in a jerry can measuring 35 liters from a perpetrator with the initials (E bin D)," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ogan Ilir Police, AKP M Ilham when confirmed, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, January 16. Anyone who misuses the transportation and/or trading of fuel oil, fuel gas, and/or liquefied petroleum gas subsidized and/or supply and distribution is given a government assignment as referred to in Article 40 number 9 of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the stipulation of government regulations in lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning job creation into law. The arrests were made by personnel on Thursday, January 15, 2024, at around 17.00 WIB in Indralaya Selatan District, Ogan Ilir. There was information from the public about the misuse of the oil fuel trade subsidized by the government in the area.

Then the police immediately operated and succeeded in securing the perpetrators along with evidence, namely a SUZUKI CARRY ST 100 Nopol BG 1605 NT, five 35 liter jerry cans containing Pertalite type fuel, and a set of electric pump machines.
