Jokowi's Mandate Response, TKN Prabowo-Gibran Promises To Increase Higher Education Research Budget

Komandan Tim Komunikasi Bravo Tim Campaign Nasional (TKN), Budisatrio Djiwandono, mengatakan pasangan Prabowo-Gibran akan menambah anggaran untuk riset di perguruan tinggi.

"Prabowo-Gibran is ready to carry out the President's mandate, to increase the research budget. Especially for universities," Budisatrio said in a written statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.

According to Budisatrio, improving the quality of research is indeed included in one of Prabowo-Gibran's vision and mission.

This is because Prabowo-Gibran wants every research to produce quality innovations in the fields of industry and technology.

With the advancement of this research field, he believes that there are many new technologies and findings in the industrial sector that can be used to advance the nation.

Regarding the addition of the budget, Budisatrio ensured that Prabowo-Gibran would allocate the research budget to 1.5 percent of Indonesia's gross domestic opinion (GDP).

With this effort, he believes that each university will be more optimal in conducting technology and industrial research.
