KPK Council Claims To Collect KPK Leaders Immediately Arrest Harun Masiku

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) claims to often ask the leadership regarding the whereabouts of Harun Masiku. The former fugitive candidate is expected to be arrested soon.

"Regarding Harun Masiku, the Supervisory Board in the supervision coordination meeting has several times asked the leadership about the update on the progress of the arrest of Harun Masiku," said Chairman of the KPK Council Tumpak H. Panggabean at the ACLC KPK building, South Jakarta, Monday, January 15.

Tumpak stated that the search for Harun Masiku was the attention of the KPK Council. However, these efforts have not been successful.

Dewas knows, continued Tumpak, because every movement must be conveyed. They also went to the Philippines to look for Harun Masiku but until now they have not met, "he said.

"So we also encourage. Every monitoring coordination meeting we always ask," continued Tumpak.

As previously reported, Harun is a suspect in giving bribes to former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan. This gift was given so that he could sit as a member of the DPR through interim shifts (PAW).

He has been on the wanted list (DPO) since January 29, 2020. Most recently, the KPK informed that the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia had issued a red notice on behalf of Harun Masiku on Friday, July 30, 2023.
