MAKASSAR - A viral video circulating on social media is narrated by a male lecturer who beats a female lecturer, Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) Makassar.

In the video, two lecturers at the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI) Makassar are involved in a bickering. Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) Makassar Nurjannah Abna said the case was purely a misunderstanding.

"Pure misunderstanding that has been resolved familyally within the Faculty of Letters of UMI," Head of Public Relations of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) Makassar Nurjannah Abna, told reporters, Monday, February 22.

It can be seen in the video arguing that a number of students were at the location then trying to intervene, until now the cause is unknown. But the news that the two have been reconciled.

"I also don't know. I heard the info has been resolved in a family manner at the Faculty of Letters," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Public Relations Section (Kasi Humas) of the Panakkukang Police, Bripka Ahmad Halim admitted that so far his party had not received any reports related to the case.
