Regarding The Merger Of The Anies-Ganjar Kubu, Puan: How Will It Be After February 14

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Puan Maharani admitted that the candidate pair (paslon) number 1, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and the number 3 Ganjar-Mahfud team have established formal and informal communication.

"(Sudah jalin komunikasi) informal dan formal," ujar Puan di Istora Senayan, Minggu 14 Januari, disitat Antara.

Even so, the decision to merge between Anies and Ganjar will be considered after the voting day for the 2024 presidential election, namely February 14, 2024. Because, according to Puan, building a nation must be carried out in mutual cooperation.

"We will do what will be after February 14, building the nation together cannot be alone," he explained.

In addition, building a nation must also be handed over to the people. The reason is, the people choose a candidate for leader according to their conscience.

"Choose a leader who can choose the people's choice, so that the people who will become the champions," said Puan.

Previously, presidential candidates number 3 Ganjar Pranowo responded to the opportunity to unite with candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar to form a new axis in the second round of the 2024 presidential election.

Ganjar said that his party continues to communicate regarding this matter. "Oh, be patient. We communicate with everyone," said Ganjar when met in the Senayan Park area, Jakarta, Sunday, January 14.

Then, on Friday January 12, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto also admitted that the two camps had communicated about the opportunity. He himself claimed to have communicated with former Vice President Jusuf Kalla regarding various forms of intimidation ahead of the presidential election that occurred in the field.
