The Governor Of DIY Extends The Implementation Of Micro-Based PPKM Until March 8

YOGYAKARTA - Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X has extended the enforcement of restrictions on micro-based community activities (PPKM) in his area. The micro PPKM will be extended to March 8, 2021.

The extension is contained in the Governor's Instruction Number 6 / INSTR / 2021 concerning the extension of the implementation of micro-based community activity restrictions (PPKM) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta which was signed by Sultan HB X.

This governor's instruction will take effect from February 23, 2021 to March 8, 2021, "said the Sultan as quoted by Antara, Monday, February 22.

Through the ingub aimed at regents and mayors in DIY, Sultan HB X asked for the implementation of PPKM Mikro to the level of neighborhoods (RT) / neighborhoods (RW) that have the potential for COVID-19.

As with the previous rules, PPKM Mikro was still applied by considering the zoning of control areas up to the RT level which were classified into green, yellow, orange, and red zones.

However, there is one additional point in the second period of PPKM Mikro, namely the 15th point which instructs kelurahan / kelurahan to enforce health protocols in residents' homes or open fields, meetinghouses, and other places that have the potential to cause crowds, and not implement health protocol.

"Coordinate with the security apparatus in its implementation," he said.

According to the Sultan, DIY still needs an extension of the Micro PPKM to control the transmission of COVID-19.

Although the additional number of confirmed positive COVID-19 daily in DIY has decreased, it is still fluctuating.

"It goes down but fluctuates. We are green but the environment is red, definitely red, it's just a matter of time," said the King of the Yogyakarta Palace.
