East Lombok Police Failed To Smuggle 5 Tons Of Subsidized Fertilizer With Minimarket Boks

EAST LOMBOK - East Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara thwarted the smuggling of subsidized fertilizers transported by a minimarket box car without documents at the Kayangan Port in the local area.

"This alphamart box car was secured, because it was suspected of carrying 100 sacks or 5 tons of subsidized urea fertilizer without documents," said Head of Public Relations of the East Lombok Police, Iptu Nicolas Oesman in Selong as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 13.

He said the subsidized fertilizer was transported from Sumbawa Island and plans to be taken to the Central Lombok area.

When passing in front of the KP3 Kayangan office, the van was stopped by officers and the contents were checked in the box car.

"In the box car, 5 tons of subsidized fertilizer were found without documents," he said.

Therefore, a box car with the driver with the initials MB (34), a resident of Kelabuh Village, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, was secured to undergo further legal proceedings.

"The driver and evidence in the form of subsidized fertilizer have been secured for further processing," he said.
