Gibran Play Mobile Legend At GEMAZ Fest ICE BSD, Wants E-Sport Achievements To Be More Steady

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka wants the achievements of Indonesian online sports players (e-sports) in the international arena to be further improved and managed professionally.

He revealed this after playing online game Mobile Legend with presenter and entrepreneur Raffi Ahmad while attending the GEMAZ Fest event at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang, Banten, Friday, January 12.

"Our professional e-sport players have many achievements in the international arena. We have to improve this and what is called a professional athlete must be managed professionally and we will see competitions like tonight (fishing, ed.) more new talents," Gibran said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 12.

Gibran said he and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto wanted to facilitate young people involved in the creative economy.

"The point is that we facilitate young people who are creative involved in the MSMEs of the creative economy, we will cooperate with everything," said the Mayor of Solo.

Before the game started, Raffi introduced Gibran as a special person. Raffi admitted that he was curious about Gibran's expertise in playing online games.

"I invite one special person because I'm curious whether he is good or not, but I'm sure he is good and he is great. This is another team of personnel who will help our team, we welcome Mas Gibran Rakabuming Raka," said Raffi.

Raffi also asked Gibran about his game character or his favorite character in Mobile Legend. "Nana," replied Gibran.

According to ANTARA, Gibran's arrival at the event location was welcomed by Prabowo Subianto's son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo or Didit Hediprasetyo; son of SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Mahatma Arfala Thohir or Arfa Thohir; and Chairman of the GEMAZ Fest 2024 Committee Rob Clinton Cardinal.
