AMIN National Team Values Prabowo's Promise To Build Giant Sea Wall Is Unrealistic

JAKARTA - The Expert Council of the National Team for Winning Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Timnas AMIN) highlighted the plan to build a giant sea wall, which was pushed by the Minister of Defense and presidential candidate number 02, Prabowo Subianto. A member of the AMIN National Team Expert Council Ahmad Nur Hidayat said the project could have an impact on marine ecosystems and environmental conservation. "(The budget) of IDR 930 trillion along Pantura Beach will be built called giant sea wall. We think this is a far-fetched project," said Nur Hidayat in Jakarta, Antara, Friday, January 12. He assessed that from an academic point of view, the promise of building a giant sea embankment was unrealistic, both in terms of funding and its realization. In implementing a development policy, a leader figure should place the principle of environmental conservation as the main factor. "So environmental factors are the main thing that we have to pay attention to. Moreover, recently we have had problems with how climate change occurs. Because yesterday we did not or ignored making a comprehensive approach to the environment," he said.

The Indonesian KPU has determined the participants of the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres), namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. serial number 3. The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
