JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary (Sekda) Joko Agus Setyono emphasized that the installation of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta (Pj) Heru Budi Hartono at the TtransJakarta bus stop was an appeal to the public regarding peaceful elections, not a campaign.
"Oh, that congratulates on the election, right? We have to make sure the election runs peacefully, of course with an appeal, where is the problem, not leading (to the campaign), but on the appeal for elections," said Joko at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Antara, Friday, January 12.
Joko said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government gave an appeal to residents to maintain security and a cool atmosphere in welcoming the 2024 General Election.
"Yes, we appeal to the public, to welcome this election with a smile," said Joko.
According to Joko, the sticker reads "Smart Choice", "The election is safe, Indonesia is Strong!" There is nothing to worry about, most importantly, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has given an appeal to the citizens.
"Oh yes, not all policies are well commented on by the public. Regarding aesthetics (do) who judges, if I think it does not damage (the beauty)," said Joko.
Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo said that the sticker with Heru's picture attached to the TransJakarta bus stops was an invitation to the public to create a peaceful 2024 election.
The points used to stick to the sticker are points for advertising, but there are no tenants or charged.
"For this reason, it is temporarily optimized as socialization media to jointly ensure the smooth, safe and peaceful implementation of the 2024 General Election," said Syafrin when confirmed in Jakarta.
