This action occurred after personnel from the Jambi Police Ditreskrimsus received information about illegal activities in Muaro Jambi, Tuesday, January 9.

The team also found and secured three perpetrators of oil mining without a permit, then the perpetrator and evidence were taken to the Jambi Regional Police for further investigation.
"The perpetrators who were arrested were JK (oil well workers), IB (owners of the well themselves) and GP (oil well workers)," he said in Jambi, Friday, January 12.
The evidence that was also secured from each of the perpetrators included three units of two-wheeled vehicles, three iron canting pipes, six mining rope rollers, three patrols and three jerry cans containing black liquid resembling oil.
"Currently, apart from the perpetrators, we have secured the evidence used for illegal oil mining activities at the Jambi Police Headquarters for further investigation," he said.
Mulia said that in the future the Jambi Police would further increase supervision and continue to take action against any mining activities without permission carried out by unscrupulous persons and harm the state.
"Of course, the Jambi Regional Police will continue to take action against illegal activities that occur in the jurisdiction of the Jambi Regional Police," he said.
