Alexander Marwata-Nurul Ghufron Allegedly Use The Influence Of Positions To Be Complained To The KPK Council

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the two KPK leaders who were complained about for allegedly violating ethics related to the investigation of alleged corruption at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) were Alexander Marwata and Nurul Ghufron. Both are suspected of using their authority.

"What was reported was that it used its influence, yes," said KPK Supervisory Board member Albertina Ho to reporters at the ACLC KPK building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 11.

Albertina said that currently her party is still clarifying. However, he confirmed that this case was not related to the former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"The Ministry of Agriculture is still within the scope but different. The complaint is different," he said.

In the future, the public is asked not to rush into assessing the actions of Alexander and Nurul Ghufron. Because the KPK Supervisory Board is still working today.

"This is just a complaint, just clarifying is not necessarily true," said the former judge.

As previously reported, Alexander Marwata has spoken about the alleged ethical violation committed by two leaders of the anti-corruption commission regarding the investigation of the case at the Ministry of Agriculture. He said he did not want to bother and did not know about the process.

"I don't know, yes, just ask the Council," he told reporters at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Thursday, January 11.

Alexander even joked about the report. "Maybe I (was reported, ed). I think so," he said.
