JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma’ruf Amin said the 2024 presidential election would be the most important step towards Indonesia Gold 2045. Thus, whoever is elected is expected to be able to know national issues and lead. This was conveyed by Ma’ruf during a speech at the 51st Anniversary of the PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) themed ‘Satyameva Jayate, Truth Must Win ’. "For this reason, elected national leaders must be statesmen who understand national issues, be visionary, and able to lead all components of the nation so that Indonesia becomes a developed, prosperous and world-classized country," said Ma’ruf at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 10. Ma’ruf said that future national leaders have a number of tasks. One of them is to alleviate poverty as a source of problems in society. However, he also reminded that for the realization of leaders who meet the criteria above, safe, peaceful, and quality elections must be held. "I hope that all election participants will participate in realizing a safe, peaceful, and quality 2024 election," he said.
