Dismissing Jokowi's Assumption, Mahfud MD: There Are No Questions About Attacking People During Debate

SLEMAN - Candidate for Vice President number 3 Mahfud MD said there were no personal or personal questions regarding the inter-presidential debate held by the KPU on Sunday, January 7.

"In my opinion, there is no personal attack, the presidential candidate is a person who is also asked about his policies," said Mahfud MD in Sleman, Yogyakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

According to him, the questions raised in the third round of the presidential candidate debate were just an ordinary debate and there were no attacking persons or revealing state secrets.

"And most of the Indonesian people don't think it's a personal attack either," he said.

Mahfud said the questions raised regarding the national defense policy were also normal questions and there were no questions that had to be answered by dismantling state secrets.

"Just an ordinary question, for example, why buy a type of aircraft like this, it's not a secret. If people ask the price of an airplane, the condition of the Indonesian aircraft's role in defense leadership in the south is no secret and personal one," he said.

Mahfud said that the state's secret had its invitations, for example a court decision that had not been read, but had already been decided.

"Then the intelligence data regarding foreign currency in Indonesia and our eyes abroad are just state secrets. Then national vital objects that must be closely guarded, that is just a secret," he said.

Mahfud said that his activities in Sleman, Yogyakarta tonight were to coordinate with the winning team for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Ganjar Pranowo - Mahfud MD in Yogyakarta.

"Many volunteers came, there was a regional winning team (TPD) and a branch winning team (TPC) in DIY," he said.

The winning teams, he said, had great enthusiasm and for DIY, they were quite good as a voice barn for Ganjar Mahfud.

"For DIY, his running was fast enough. Hopefully there will be no barriers and hopefully it will not be caught as Ganjar Mahfud's voice barn," he said.
