North Sumatra KPU: 25.6 Million Vote Letters For The 2024 Election Completed Multiply-Disorted

The General Election Commission (KPU) of North Sumatra Province said that as many as 25,672,974 ballots for the 2024 General Election for the local area had been sorted and folded.

"The development of ballots for the election that has been sorted and folded is 25,672,974 sheets," said a member of the North Sumatra KPU, Robby Effendy, in Medan, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

Robby said the number of ballots that had been sorted and folded consisted of ballots from the president and vice president, district/city DPRD, North Sumatra Provincial DPRD, DPD RI and DPR RI.

"The DPR RI's ballot letter 7,691,974 sheets, North Sumatra Provincial DPRD 8,173,153 sheets, district/city DPRD 8,098,606 sheets, president and vice president 853,476 sheets, DPD 856,450 sheets," said Robby.

Currently, he said, the process of sorting and multiplicating ballots continues to be carried out by officers, accompanied by KPU secretariat staff and commissioners and also implemented inherently by the Bawaslu team in each region, as well as police officers also continue to carry out strict security.

"A total of 5,149 people are assigned to sort and fold ballots in 33 districts/cities in this area," he said.

He said the North Sumatra KPU had received ballots for the district/city DPRD legislative elections, the North Sumatra Provincial DPRD, the DPD RI, the DPR RI and the presidential and vice presidential elections as many as 43,376,522 ballots.

"The ballots that have been received are 43,376,522 with details, district/city DPRD, Provincial DPRD and DPR RI 10,470,714 shares, PPWP and DPD 5,982,190 ballots," he said.

Meanwhile, he continued that the ballot boxes that had been received by the North Sumatra KPU for 33 regencies/cities had 229,375 sheets and the backup ballot boxes in the sub-district were 910 sheets.

"The development of the number of ballot boxes carried out by the appearance and packaging is still zero percent or has not been implemented," he said.

The North Sumatra KPU set 10.853.940 permanent voters (DPT) in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) consisting of 5.360.844 men and 5.493.096 women.
