Airlangga Bela Prabowo Regarding The Performance Of The Minister Of Defense After The Debat Of The Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto assessed that what was conveyed by presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto in the third debate was what the government had done.

According to him, Prabowo's answer to questions from panelists and other presidential candidates is no longer just a theory, but what Prabowo has done as Minister of Defense.

"What is answered is the answers to what has been done by the government, including Pak Prabowo. Not at the theoretical level, it is best practice," said Airlangga after the Presidential Candidate Debat on Sunday, January 7.

Airlangga emphasized that what Prabowo said was true. That, all Indonesian people, even all countries in the world, have also felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for three years.

This condition must force all ministries, including the Ministry of Defense, to refocus the budget. Airlangga himself during the COVID-19 attack was appointed as Chairman of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN).

"I lead the handling of COVID-19, the President ordered directly, and that is in the interests of the first people. So it is in accordance with the Constitution that people's welfare and people's security are the main thing. That's what (Prabowo) did. So what was conveyed was correct," said Airlangga.

The chairman of the Steering Committee for the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) added that it is natural for Prabowo to receive an 'attack' from other presidential candidates who are opponents of his debate. According to him, it actually shows who has won from the three presidential candidates in the 2024 presidential election.

"The superior must be attacked, so because the difference is relatively high, so it's normal (attacked in debate)," said the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
