Landslides Occur In Subang, West Java BPBD Deploys Team To Conduct Assessment

The landslide disaster occurred in Pasanggrahan Village, Kasomalang District, Subang Regency, on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) through the West Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) immediately deployed a team to intervene to evacuate and assess the needs of personnel, equipment, and logistics for disaster management.

The Head of the West Java BPBD Daily, Dani Ramdan, reported that the West Java BPBD was intensely coordinating with BPBD Subang Regency to conduct an assessment.

"The BPBD team is currently at the TKP to evacuate and assess the needs of personnel, equipment, and logistics for disaster management," said Dani.

Based on a temporary report in the field, said Dani, 11 people suffered minor injuries and one person died. In addition, about 300 residents fled. The affected residents will be evacuated to Majlis Ta'lim Bantar Panjang.

"Until now, assessments and data collection are still being carried out. We also continue to coordinate with various parties so that the handling of this landslide disaster runs optimally," said Dani.

Dani also asked the public to be vigilant in anticipating natural disasters that hit a number of areas in West Java in the last few days.
