TKN Secretary Calls One Round Presidential Election Will Save IDR 27 Trillion Funds

JAKARTA - Secretary of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Nusron Wahid, said that the state could save Rp27 trillion in funds if the 2024 presidential election took place in one round and was won by Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"If it is lined up, stacked here, it is full up to the top. IDR 17 trillion for KPU costs: install polling stations (voting stations), KPPS honorarium (voting Organizing Group), ballot paper and so on, it's a total of IDR 17 trillion. Not yet the security costs, the police guard, security security guards, guard hansip, right? The total is IDR 10 trillion. So, IDR 27 trillion," said Nusron, as stated in a written statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Sunday.

According to Nusron, someone who can save a budget of up to IDR 27 trillion is the same as charity.

"The person who succeeded in saving the state budget of Rp27 trillion is calculated the same as the charity of Rp27 trillion to the nation and state, so that the money can be donated to the poor," he said.

Such money, said Nusron, could be allocated for the needs of the people, such as the construction of mosques, Islamic boarding schools (ponpes), churches, to road repairs in villages.

"Let's have a free scholarship, right? Build a damaged road, right? Build a damaged school, right? Build a damaged boarding school, right? Including building a church that has not yet been damaged. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, let's be enthusiastic, let's look for a charity of IDR 27 trillion," he added.

He conveyed this at the Prabowo-Gibran winning consolidation event by the DKI Jakarta Prima Party, at the Bulungan Sports Hall, Jakarta.
