Polda Metro Jaya Prepares Thousands Of Personnel For The Debate Of Presidential Candidates

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has prepared 3,041 joint personnel to secure the debate of the three presidential candidates (candidates) for the 2024 General Election at Istora Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Central Jakarta, Sunday. "For security, we have deployed 3,041 joint personnel," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division and Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Brigadier General Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, in a written statement, in Jakarta.

Trunoyudo explained that the joint personnel consisted of 2,877 Polri personnel (Satgaspus 727 personnel, Satgasda 2,000 personnel, and Task Force 100 personnel), 120 TNI personnel (TNI AD 100 personnel and POM AD 20 personnel), and 94 personnel from the DKI Regional Government (Satpol PP 40 personnel, Dishub 35 personnel, Derek 5 personnel and Firefighters 14 personnel).

"Security of joint Polri, TNI and DKI Provincial Government personnel, according to the dynamics of the right to the task of securing the third vice presidential candidate debate through the preemptive, preventive, public relations and operational assistance task force," he said.

Trunoyudo added that of the 12 access gates in the GBK area, some of them will also be partially closed for security.

"The closed access doors are doors one, two, three, four, six, 9, 11 and 12. Meanwhile, the five and eight doors are only used for exit access, while the seven and 10 doors are used for entrances and exits," he said.

Furthermore, the former Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police explained that the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya had also prepared traffic engineering around the GBK area.

However, the implementation of traffic engineering is situational, depending on the conditions and situations on the ground.

The following is traffic engineering prepared by the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya:

1. The traffic flow from Jalan Gatot Subroto which will go to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda is directed straight to Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Slipi

2. Traffic flow from the direction of Jalan Asia Afrika directed straight towards Jalan Hang Tuah Raya

3. The traffic flow from the Senayan Roundabout which will go to Jalan Pintu Senayan is directed straight to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman

The third debate for the 2024 election presidential candidate will take place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on January 7, 2024, with topics of defense, security, international relations and geopolitical relations.
