90 Days Of War In Various Fronts, Israel's Chief Of Military Intelligence: Not An Easy Campaign

JAKARTA - Israel's military intelligence chief admits it has faced a war that has not been easy for the past 90 days on various fronts, but believes its operational goals will be achieved.

Speaking at the intelligence officer graduation ceremony, Israel's Chief Directorate of Military Intelligence Defense Forces (IDF) said IDF intelligence allowed " broad attacks on our enemies, from Gaza to Iran."

"For nearly 90 days the State of Israel and the IDF have been involved in multi-front warfare. The IDF, including the Directorate of Military Intelligence, operates in all arenas and front lines, in defense and attacks," said Major General Aharon HaIVA, as reported by The Times of Israel January 4.

"IDF activity, in all dimensions of combat, is based on intelligence," he said.

He further said the intelligence generated by his directorate saved many Israeli soldiers' lives on the battlefield. He also acknowledged that the country's recognized military campaign was not easy and took time, although he was confident it would achieve its goals.

"The high-quality and rich materials provided by the Directorate of Military Intelligence saved the lives of many soldiers every day who risked their lives on the ground, resulting in widespread attacks on our enemies from Gaza to Iran, in all arenas in the face of enemy attacks. complex challenges," said Major General HaIVA.

"This is not an easy campaign. It will take time. But we will achieve our goals. We have the power, strength and capability. And we hope; you are the most valuable and important asset we have."

On the same occasion, he asked all members of the directorate to speak up, be critical, although not wearing, amid reports that senior intelligence officers ignored warnings from those with lower rank, regarding attacks by the Hamas militant group.

"I hope you always voice your professional opinion. Wherever, in front of every echelon and every rank. Even though it is different, critical and unpleasant," he appealed.

"All of you are the next generation of the Intelligence Directorate. Those who will apply war lessons will spread them and will do everything, so that incidents like that will not happen again. Learn from mistakes and remember to take care of good things," said Major General HaIVA.
