Central Jakarta Bawaslu Express Gibran Rakabuming Violates DKI Gubernatorial Regulation On Distributing Milk In CFD

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) stated that Gibran Rakabuming Raka's activities distributed milk during a car free day (CFD) in the Hotel Indonesia roundabout area, Jakarta, as a violation of the rules.

The activity of the candidate for Vice President (cawapres) number two is considered to have violated Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 12 of 2016 concerning the Implementation of Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB).

"Recommends findings with registration number 001/Reg/TM/PP/City/12.01/XII/2023 regarding the distribution of milk (Greenfields) by Gibran Rakabuming Raka to residents who are in the car free day area of Central Jakarta on December 3, 2023 which was registered on December 11, 2023 as another violation of the law," said Head of Central Jakarta Bawaslu Christian Nelson Pangkey in his statement, Thursday, January 4.

The next step for the Central Jakarta Bawaslu will continue the results of the decision in the form of a violation committed by Girban Rakabumung to the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu. So, it will be followed up further.

"It was forwarded to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Bawaslu to be submitted to the authorized agency in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," said Nelson.

Gibran distributed milk to residents on December 3, 2023. At that time, the number two vice presidential candidate together with the Chairperson of the PAN DPP Zita Anjani, Sigit Purnomo alias Pasha and Surya Ula Kuya.

In contrast, Gibran, who has also been clarified by the Indonesian Bawaslu, is about distributing milk when the CFD HI is declared not to meet the element of election crime.

However, the Indonesian Bawaslu conducted further investigations regarding potential violations of other laws and regulations.
