KPU DKI Receives 14.9 Million House Of Representatives And DPRD Votes For The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta has received 14.9 million votes from the DPR and DKI DPRD for the 2024 General Election.

Nelvia detailed the 14.9 million ballots, namely 6.5 million ballots from the DKI Jakarta DPRD and 8.4 million Indonesian House of Representatives ballots that are ready to be distributed.

Of the number of ballots, the DPR RI ballots received have met their needs. Meanwhile, the DKI DPRD's ballot is still in process.

"The votes received by the DKI DPRD amounted to 6.5 million regencies/cities, namely 76.91 percent of the total required ballots of 8.4 million," he said.

He hopes that the acceptance process can be carried out as soon as possible for the completeness of logistics ahead of the 2024 General Election.

The DKI Jakarta KPU targets the distribution of 8.4 million DPRD ballots to be completed on December 25. However, said Nelvia, this target has not been achieved due to the postponement of the time for sending ballots to the West Jakarta KPU.

Nelvia emphasized that there were no obstacles in the distribution target, only needed time adjustment in the process so it took more time.

Thus, the DKI KPU will seek to complete the distribution of ballots for the DKI Jakarta DPRD on January 5, 2024.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta KPU revealed that the distribution of ballots for the election of candidates for members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has so far reached 80 percent.

"The DKI Jakarta DPRD's vote letter has reached 80 percent of the district/city KPU," he said.
